Let's (fire)Work together! Intergroup Contact between nonbinary and cisgender individuals through a cooperative board game

Description: Although awareness of nonbinary gender identities has increased exponentially within the last few years, there is still a lot of misunderstanding and ignorance related to experiences of nonbinary individuals. In this experiment, cisgender people were randomly assigned to play a board game with nonbinary or cisgender individuals to reduce prejudice and intergroup anxiety.

GeMPIRe Young Adult Study

Description:

Gender minority young adults are at high risk of discrimination and negative mental health and substance use outcomes. We explore the relationships between these experiences and outcomes in this secondary data analysis of the 2015 US Trans Survey.

TNB Youth & Digital Avatars

Description: 

Video Games can be a source of gender exploration and affirmation. In this qualitative study of trans and nonbinary youth, we explored ways in which avatar customization and creation can be affirming and ways in which these experiences can be improved for inclusivity.
